Carioca Volleyball Club is proud to present the best that beach volleyball has to offer: the first Carioca High Performance Camp at the capital of beach volleyball – Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Designed for the elite collegiate player and top athletes, this inaugural camp is a unique opportunity to train with and compete against Olympic Medalists and World Champions from Brazil. Instructed by Olympic and World Champion coaches. Experience the carioca beach volleyball life in Rio for 12 days – home of the first World Championships and the iconic Copacabana beach.

Brazil is a powerhouse in beach volleyball primarily because the sport has been able to unite two of the country’s passions: the beach and volleyball. As a result, Brazil has produced numerous World Champions, Olympic Champions in both men and women. Brazil represents the beach game masterfully. It has won 13 Olympic Medals and 29 World Championship Medals, by far surpassing any other country. Year after year, Brazil produces a number of good players into the FIVB Tour displaying their advance technical skills, flamboyant style and passion that reflect their culture.

Camp Registration

This is a limited space camp! In order to guarantee a spot, please fill out the CAMP FORM as soon as possible and MAKE A DEPOSIT to hold it. Here is the procedure to register:

  1. Fill out the CAMP REGISTRATION FORM
  2. If approved, we will send a Camp Invitation
  3. Once received the Camp Invitation, proceed to MAKE A PAYMENT
  4. The payment can be a DEPOSIT or FULL PAYMENT

The Deposit is fully refundable until November 15. On November 15, the BALANCE is due and the Deposit becomes NON-REFUNDABLE – NO EXCEPTIONS.

Camp FAQ’s

  1. How do I sign-up?
    Please fill out the CAMP REGISTRATION FORM and once you receive our invitation back, you may proceed to make a deposit or pay in full.
  2. Do I need to have a partner or can I sign up as an individual?
    Most players sign up as an individual (or with a friend). However, we can accommodate a team as well. In other words, we will either pair you with another player of similar skill or your regular partner for the tournament.
  3. What is the level of play?
    This is a high-level camp. Players must be able to demonstrate experience through tournament results, collegiate ranking, USA High Performance Ranking, Professional Ranking and/or coach/club recommendations. We have players from all over the US and both college and adults. We will not have tryouts, but based on your experience and the application (with references), we will see if you will fit into the program.
  4. Are non-players, parents, spouses and significant others welcome?
    Parent/s MUST accompany minors. Adults may attend individually. And yes, you may bring others along.
  5. Do we get any gear?
    Yes, you will get a couple of practice and camp T-shirts.
  6. Do I have to wait for the invitation before making the payment?
    No, you may make the reservation payment, BUT if the camp is full, or if you don’t get an invitation, you will get your money back.
  7. Can I register my partner?
    If you and your partner are adults, yes, you may fill out the form and make a payment for both. If you are a minor, your parent can only register the player they are responsible for.
  8. What is the weather like in Rio at that time?
    It is summer! It is hot! It is humid! It is Rio!
